Q: Is this for me?
A: If you’re asking, the answer is probably yes. We work with people of all abilities and fitness levels.
If you have specific questions or concerns, please reach out!
Note: You do not need to identify as having a disability to train with us.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: We offer several pricing packages depending on your needs - 1:1 sessions, community classes, monthly memberships, remote coaching. We’ll walk you through the options during your first visit.
We also offer a limited number of scholarships for athletes who want to train here but can’t afford the fees.
Q: Will insurance cover my sessions?
A: No, we do not bill insurance. We accept payment via cash, credit card, and check. However, with proper documentation, your training membership may be covered in part through your HSA/FSA benefit.
Inquire about an invoice for services and we'll provide you with the information you need.
Q: What conditions do you work with?
A: We have experience serving individuals with a wide range of neurological and physical conditions including stroke, brain injury, MS, Parkinson’s, FND, spinal cord injury, and more. You name it, we train it.

Q: What is the gym space like?
A: Our gym is open, welcoming, and designed to accommodate a wide range of mobility and sensory needs.
We are located at 317 Belgrade Avenue - in Roslindale, MA.

Q: Can family members or care partners attend sessions?
A: When appropriate, we can incorporate caregivers or family members into training or create custom exercise resources to use at home. Sometimes we can collaborate directly with extended support teams.
Q: How do I get started?
A: Just fill out this form and we’ll contact you within 24 hours to walk you through the process. We'll answer any questions you might have and help schedule your first visit.
This first session is 100% free. Then, we'll figure out a personalized approach and a training frequency that fits.
Q: How can I support Fit to Function?

The Fitness Fund provides financial support for stroke / TBI survivors and individuals with neurological conditions who can’t afford ongoing sessions. Recovery is expensive, and our donors have helped lift that burden for 25+ athletes so far. You can donate donate directly or contribute via Venmo, at @Fit-to-Function. Every dollar goes toward an athlete’s journey.

Q: Can I train with one specific coach?
A: Every one of our trainers are Adaptive and Inclusive certified. You can expect to mix it up, depending on schedule and availability. Everyone on staff has been trained in neuroadaptive approaches directly by the founder.
Q: How do I book my sessions?
A: Once you're onboarded, you'll have access to our scheduling system (Jane) where you can book, pay for class packs, cancel, or reschedule sessions directly. We’ll walk you through how this works on your first day.
Q: Do you offer virtual sessions?
A: Yes. We provide remote coaching, programming, and virtual 1:1 training for clients anywhere in the world.
Q: Is the gym fully accessible?
A: Yes. Our facility is accessible, and our equipment and programming are designed to meet a wide range of mobility and sensory needs. There are also two accessible parking spots nearby.
